Fish Gallery is the closest fish store to me, so I've been there several times.
Pros:
The tanks are maintained with very few dead fish in them. I've never bought a fish that gave me problems or died within a short time after bringing them home. They carry BioSpira, which can be difficult to find. I have never gone in there and NOT been able to find what I was looking for. They have other pets, but the store is mainly fish. They have a fair warranty period for fish that is based on the price of the fish.
Cons:
The staff seems to only respond quickly when I'm looking at the saltwater fish. Otherwise, I've had to stand around for up to 1/2 an hour waiting for someone to help me. To their credit, they are fairly knowlegable about the fish, with a few exceptions (sold me mollies and told me to add salt, for instance, but failed to mention mollies are actually brackish water fish and the other fish I bought were not. This is a common mistake made by fish stores). Some of the sales staff are not very friendly and take the "hurry up and pick your fish so I can do something else" attitude.
If you don't mind giving up good service for a nice selection of well-maintained fish, give this place a shot. Just be prepared to hunt down someone on your own, unless there's no one else in the store (and sometimes even then).
