Not the cleanest fish store for sure, but good selection and saw no major problems I would be concerned about.

Worth a stop if you are fish cruisin!

The only plus I can come up with is the range of fish. The service is questionable. The conditions are terrible, the cages/tanks overcrowded. They can't even use the excuse of being a small shop, I've been to other, smaller shops and they've all been clean and well maintained. They need to do some serious work to get the place up to even a basic level of hygiene.

I drive from Graham area to visit this shop. All the guys have always taken time to answer my curious questions. They have a smaller variety of Africans than I would like , but they do order fish for me. Cannot beat that. Been going there for over 12 years, haven't had problems yet.

Midway is the better store for what I shop for. I have fresh water fish and a pet rat. I never buy my rats from retail but I always like to get the food from Midway. The staff are no nonsense in giving information on alot of different animals. The fish selection is wide and varied. I did read the other reviews and I cant help but wonder if these folks didnt come in on a fish receiving day. I believe they get their fish once to twice a week. Anybody who knows about fish shipping knows that a large amount of fish will be shock during shipping. I used to work for a pet store in MN to know this. Yes there is a bit of an odor in the fish area. The same odor can be detected from my own tank. I believe that is the sign(smell) of a healthy tank. I have bought various fresh water fish from them and did not quarantine. All of my fish are thriving. I live in Renton and gladly drive to Midway for supplies.

Huge selection and some hard to find fish. Sadly, I saw a lot of dead or dying fish. Also, the store is disorganized and smells like rotting pet food.

This store was THE fish store about 20 years ago. My husband and I have recently returned to the fishkeeping hobby and looked forward to a visit to this old favorite. We were dismayed to see dead fish in many tanks, a parrot fish that, IMHO, needed euthanized, dying fish, and some overcrowded/underfiltered tanks. They were quite busy, and we were never asked once whether we needed help. They have a huge selection of fish. I would make sure that every fish purchase comes with a two week guarantee and make sure to quarantine any fish purchased here. To their credit, they have a huge selection of tanks. Also, they kept their bettas in the warm aquarium area and they looked nice and healthy.
