Kevin & Sean's A Place For Pets

If there were a choice of 10 fish out of 5, they would be getting a 12.

I love this store so much, they have the greatest plants I have ever found, and all of them are excellently priced. I got some needle java fern for 2.50.

They also have some freaking awesome fancy bettas, second only to the thai imports. They do cost a bit more than your usual run of the mill crowntail or veiltail but the price is well worth it.

The greatest selection of cichlids, both new world and old. They always have the coolest large cichlids but they also have some really rare varieties of dwarf and shelldwellers as well.

Their selection of kilifish is the best, especially during the summer. My brother got some fairly rare oeseri for an excellent price. Just looking at the kilis makes you want to buy them all.

And then there are the plecos and catfish varieties, while slightly expensive, they are the best priced plecos I have seen. They have calico BN for 10 dollars, I have seen similar calicos go for 20 dollars elsewhere.

And that is just some of their merchandise, the employees are even better. Kevin and Sean are deffinately the main gurus on fish, have any freshwater questions then just ask the "bald-guy" as I always call Kevin. Kevin has always taken the time to talk with me about any question I have, even if he doesnt know he will do his best to find out. Sean has got to be the best saltwater person I have talked to, I have seen others that are equal to his knowledge but none will talk anything over with you, they find themselves to good for you, not Sean.

And you can't forget about their yearly anniversary sale, their biggest sale and deffinately the best time of the year to go buy yourself some fish!

The fresh water knowledge and contacts that Kevin brings to this LFS is unmatched. His depth of commitment has inspired a business partnership that has brought a badly needed resource to the Burien area. This is a full service petstore, and has a severely limited space on the main floor to display an amazing array of stock, so there is no room for shopping carts, baby carriages or latte stands. If you don't see what is desired, asking for help will get a solid effort to secure it from an unseen basement. The staff is a mix of people that have some definate focusses of expertise. This means that they recognize their limits and know who to ask the right question to serve the customer's needs. I drive regularly from Graham to do business here for most of my pet needs. If I distracted Kevin or Sean from helping you with your needs, I appologize and encourage you to come back and try again.

This is the most all around well equiped fish and pet store anyone could imagine! Kevin has more knowledge about cichlids and everything else in their store than any other store in Washington. Sean has more knowledge to offer about saltwater than most other stores. I have been breeding and raising african cichlids for 7 years. This is hands down the best store in all of Washington. This store has the most amazing Cichlid selection! I have bought "One of a kind" Cichlids from there and have turned out to be the most beautiful fish ever! It is well worth the drive to take a look at what this store has to offer!

When I went the store was hard to walk through. Not a place I would take my kids because I would have to worry about them tripping over numerous things in the way (ladders, buckets, hoses just to name a few).

A girl asked if she could help with anything & didn't know any of the answers to my questions.

She had a man come to answer some questions & in the middle of us talking he acknowledged a 'friend' & went to talk to them & left us standing there in mid sentence!

I would NEVER go there again!

This is a great lfs. They have a large stock of cichlids including some hard to find specimens. The tanks are clean and the fish are healthy. The staff is knowledgeable and polite. The only reason I didn't give this store 5 fish is that they are not exclusively a fish store. They have other pets as well. I was not as impressed with their non-aquarium methods.
