DJL has some very pretty tanks, some good employees, and a huge selection of fish. Steer clear of the owner if you can; he can be kind of mean, especially if you admit to buying anything at another store, ever, or if you want to do something different from his formula. And don't mention that you read books or the internet for fish advice; you will be run right out of the store!
Take the advice there with a shaker of salt, and go with your own instincts if you feel in doubt.
The fish look great, generally, and the saltwater section is okay--it was better, but it's not as good now as it was six months ago. If you want real plants, don't even ask; they don't carry them, and they'll tell you that plants will pollute your tank, then sell you a bunch of plastic plants.
They do work really hard to clean all the tanks every week, and it's hard to find nicer fish, so as long as you know what NOT to say, you'll be fine.
