I love this store, it is a little cramped but if you go at the right time of day it is practically empty, there are few staff, but again, if you go at the right time of day you will have a much better experience.

This store is great for having many marine fishes and corals. A lot of options, and tons of fresh water fish too.
It is too bad the place is so cramp that only 1 person can go through the aisle one at time.
The staff are pretty helpful, accept for the lady staff. They just stood there, and when you ask for help, they said someone will be with you while standing there doing nothing.

Another thing about staff, is that they are very limited. By the time someone comes and help you, you are probably out the door after waiting 45, to 1 hour or even more depends if they want to see you standing there waiting looking into their eyes saying help me. Even when you approached them, it will take a long time.

Good place, but go somewhere else for ease of mind.

low rating for a popular fish store. sure the store is a nice place to see, but when you dig a little into it you can understand why i would not give them anything over a 2. first of all they dont quarintine their fish. this should be a red flag for anyone that wants to purchase healthy fish and have a lasting aquarium. second the customer service stinks. they type of people i want answering my questions and helping me pick out my future pets for my thriving aquarium are people that share a passion for this spectacular hobby of mine. next to those two things, i find it a lot smarter to go to a store like SaltwaterEmpire. SaltwaterEmpire knows how to take care of their fish, label their product, and how to help you out with anything that has to do with my saltwater aquarium.

-dont quarintine
-poor service
-poor labeling
-horrible service

My favorite fish store as of now!!!! So small and crowded but a great variety of fish and some really B**A** tanks!! Awesome.

I've had very good experiences here, there's a lot of knowledge if you find the right people (I like to eavesdrop while they're helping other people to find them or ask test questions I know the answer true). Unlike the other posters, I think that's true of any kind of locally-owned shop I've been to with more than 1-2 employees, so I don't really think it's a problem.

There are also a lot of browsers (myself included) in the store, so I'm not generally approached for help unless I specifically looking for it. If you're expecting the chain store approach of people rushing up to you if you spend more than 30 seconds in front of a tank looking, you'll be disappointed.

Going at odd times helps a great deal with the crowding. Anything they haven't had when I needed it they would order or tell me when it would be expected, and unlike most of the chain stores I have access to that have sold me outdated test kits, they seem to check theirs upon receipt to make sure they're good.

Tanks have always been very clean when I've been there - and there are obviously tanks of fish in quarantine not yet available for sale which I take as a good sign.

I used to love this store - until I went in and was told by a worker that Betta Vases are a great idea. Another worker failed to tell me that neon tetra cannot survive a new tank.
A string of bad advice from them & I'm not going back

Small, crowded store. Mainly FW. Great selection, prices were acceptable.

Staff are always busy, but will answer any and all questions you have.

Some staff members aren't as knowledgeable as others but act like they are. I have been given bad advice on at least two occassions with respect to compatible species.

Almost always had to ask a staff member what a certain fish was because the labels on the tanks were missing, smudged or hard to read.

All in all a decent little store but it could be a lot better.

Large FW selection, moderate plant selection. Species/price labeling only so-so. Staff were helpful, but very busy when I was there.

Crowded store. Small SW selection. High prices. Small, dirty SW tanks. Tank labels are hard if not impossible to read. FW tanks overcrowded. 15 species in one tank with hand-scribbled labels makes it hard to identify fish. 10 people working, yet no one will help you.
