Its an okay store, but not so much for the livestock. I did buy 3 swordtails from there a few months ago and 2 are living(not the stores fault one died, it got bitten by the bigger ones and got infected) I do feel that the staff should ask a few more questions to make sure your tank is right, but they are pretty good besides that.

None of the fish I have ever bought from this store has lived very long. I am not a begginer and I know what I am doing. The lady who manages the fish department knows alot and is very nice.

Management stinks. anytime I have had a problem, nothing but run around and rudness. I was in there one day and some fish food was marked clearance. Got to the register and the computer said 2 of the 4 were on clearance (different sizes, same thing) Well there was only one sign. They even admited there should of been another sign. I got alot of run around and rudness. I called corporate on my cell phone and they could not help me. Manager and his staff are jerks. This is not the first time either, I will never shop that store again!

As a chain, Pet Quarters' fish departments vary widely. With well-maintained tanks and a healthy selection of fish, the Augusta franchise is a credit to the company. Bettas are even found in large, filtered tanks, sharing tanks with other fish! There are bettas in bowls as well, but the store deserves credit for at least displaying that bettas can indeed be more than decorative knick-knacks.

Selection leaves a little something to be desired (short on loaches, long on goldfish and mollies; no saltwater), but new fish arrive on Fridays, and custom-ordering did not seem out of the question. The staff is courteous, professional, and helpful. Visible measures are in place to keep the fish in optimum health (net dip, tank cleaning equipment, etc). Prices for fish are very reasonable, but a bit high for dry goods.
