![]() I go in there to get pond fish and pond supplies and never had a problem with any of them. I recently bought 2 geckos and they are doing fine so far. My sons friend has had there gecko for over 2 years now and it is fine. I've had my pond fish for over 2 years now and they are fine. I would not by tropical fish though. The lizard containers are always well kept and all the lizards look healthy. The plants all look healthy and never had a problem with any of them. Sorry to hear that someone had problems with a turtle, but you should always research any kind of animal before purchasing one. Deb Defazio 04:51:44 4/01/2008 |

DO NOT BUY FROM AFISHIONADOS!!This store sold me a central american wood turtle last week. Upon asking the sales person questions about habitat temperature, food, and other requirements, they came off as knowledgeable, confident, and caring. They remarked that she had been with them for months and was very healthy and had been eating well. However, I did research on my own and found that they were incorrect in what they told me as to her care. This does not bother me much as I was able to find the information I needed on the internet. However, after a week and a half of my beautiful turtle not eating, I took her to a veterinarian. She has two severe parasitic infections. I called this store to let them know that my vet had told me that any other turtles that were in the same housing as her would also be infected. What does bother me is that they did not care and told me to bring her back if I didn't want her. I inquired as to a refund for both the turtle and the medication to heal her infections and they told me that was not possible because they were just going to do me a favor by taking her back. When I asked whether she would be kept separately until the other turtles had been treated for infection, they rudely responded they didn't have those capabilities and wouldn't be treating the turtles because they don't do that. Now, I say, would you want to buy any animal from a place that doesn't care about their health? Eliza 16:16:19 3/14/2005 |
