I must say that I love the service and the conditions of the tanks at Pets-and-Such. I just recently started shopping there and have been there once or twice a week for a couple months. I am a newbie and the staff there was very patience and knowledgeable with helping select fish and equipment there. I think the setups they have are just lovely and I will continue to shop there. I not only shop there for my aquarium needs but I alsoi have bought a ferret and hamsters and other animals from there and they are all just great. Thanks Tiffany 02:27:50 3/28/2005 |
I want to start by saying that I have just recently reclaimed my childhood love of hosting aquatic friends in my home. In some ways I am again a newbie. I really enjoy this store mostly because I think they have some awsome salt aquariums and the selection seems really nice. One of the most impressive things is a nanocube that looked like it was ancient and very healthy-- when I asked they said it had only been up for less than 3 months. I do not yet keep a salt tank, I hope to go there soon. I like the staff, they are very helpful but because some also work over in the dog and cat section they are sometimes a little less knowlegable than I would like. I also have the unfortunate experience of them allowing my partner to buy me little plastic set up of gold fish and then giving us 2 big goldfish- I cannot seem to keep amonia and nitrite levels in acceptable ranges. I have gone in and seen a few floaters. I do know that they sell some dyed fish but I also had one employee steer us away from them and express his distaste for the practice. I found that to be honorable. I especially like that the fish area of the store is very dark and really shows off the tanks. I think that when I am ready to dive into a salt tank they will be the ones that I trust to hold my hand. I think it is their love and it shows. Jeffrey Ishmael 15:00:53 3/27/2005 |
