 same here, the pet store in fort wayne sucks, the TV commercials makes it look good, but when you get there they have nothing in stock from dry-goods to live-goods plus there prices are way too much and the employees are very rude and they know about just as much as walmart does when it come to pets.. sometimes i think walmart might now more lol.. i'm getting ready to open a pet store which will be located in decatur, Indiana just south of fort wayne 23miles which i will be selling the finest tropical fish available with the best color and sizes at wholesale prices true example small assorted freshwater angelfish cost anywhere from $2.99 to $8.99 or more depending on species, store and location my prices will be $0.89 everyday plus every friday i will be running a weekly specials buy 1 get 1 free or more products which will change weekly.. it will be call The Fish Shack i will have well over 400 aquariums stocked with both freshwater tropical fish and saltwater tropical fish plus i plan on carrying a full line of reptiles, amphibians, spiders, birds, small mammals, pet supplies and even some exotic animals.. i will keep every body posted on this site when i get it up and open!! email me with any questions also looking for used 10 gallon aquariums i can buy new for around $5.25 each wholesale so anything cheaper will be great need 1 or 600 pc. i dont need any accessories just the empty aquarium i can pickup thanks |
 I dont understand why these people ^^^^ think that petware house is so terrible??? I am a regular there and everytime i go there the employees always ask if I need help with anything, and they are always willing to answer any questions I ask. If they cant answer my question then they always find someone that can. Petware house is a nice place to go because the people there are so personable and know who you are!! Employees were very difficult and unfriendly. Too bad as we love all the pets. They acted as though they couldn't care less if they sold anything or not! Lots of competition elsewhere. Owner must have lots of money. Pet Lover 14:23:24 3/12/2009 |
sorry put wrong review for the wrong store!!!! Meant to write review for the pet store not petware house but might as well now. Petware house is an okay store they have a great selection of salt water fish, not so much freshwater. Products and fish are a bit over priced. Some of the employees can be a bit rude. You usually have to find someone to help you instead of someone asking you if you need help. I liked the store better when it was located by walmart. They had a better selection of freshwater fish and staff wasn't as rude. All in all it would be a better store if they would just hire more staff that are kind. And if they had a better selection of freshwater fish to choose from, mostly SA cichlids. fish lover 23:32:05 2/03/2009 |
use to love going to The Pet Store. Now it has become a very horrible place to vist. I no longer buy any pets or products from them. They never have anything stocked on their shelves and they do not have very many fish or other animals. They claim they are not going out of business, but I believe it will come soon. When you vist the store it's like going to a garage sale. They are selling anything and everything in the store. The animals are hardly being cared for if there are any to care for. The employees use to be very helpful now they are less helpful. One person back in fish use to be a great person to rely on for information and I still respect him for his knowledge on fish. It was just annoying when I asked to buy a geophagus off him for way more then it was worth. He refused to sell it because it's in one of the big 200g suspose to be a display tank. That way people know what they look like when they get big. They never carry geophagus cichlids for sell, and he didn't know what type of geophagus it was to begin with. I go back in a few weeks later the geo is gone, they said they SOLD it. That happen to me twice.
