Lynda it however is a shame that you have to let Ophra rule your world, there are pet shops out there that do the right thing by purchasing puppies from reputable breeders.  Great selection of fish both salt and fresh. They also have a really large selection of African Cichilds. Was really impressed with the owner, he seemed knowledable as well as not over anxious to sell me stuff I didn't need. All in all it was a great stop and will continue to shop there.  I try to shop at local businesses instead of chain stores, but this is one of the cases where I would recommend driving past to your nearest Petco or PetSmart. I stopped into Something Fishy while trying to find a store that sold Bio-Spira. Its refrigerator was conveniently located at the entrance to the store, but to my disappointment was all but bare, containing only a few non-fish related products, ketchup, mustard, and relish. The most disappointing thing that I found about this particular shop, however, was that there were just as many tanks containing varieties of painted fish as there were containing varieties that are more natural. One of the tanks (smaller than a 10 gallon) was completely bare except for the gravel and at least twenty frogs. Several of his other tanks had dead fish floating. Jeff 13:05:24 8/15/2007 |
