The Fish Planet is a VERY NICE aquarium store that is IMMACULATE and the staff there is VERY friendly and informative. Their website proves exactly what I am saying.

Love this fish store!!!!! For a small store it has an abundance of healthy stock to choose from. Very clean. I found this place about a year ago and have been very pleased with everything I've gotten here, advise as well as purchases.

He could be the least customer friendly store owner I know. I've been there twice during business hours and he was closed. Waited for 10 mins yesterday and when he finally showed up he seemed to have no interest in me as a customer. All he said was it'll take me 10 mins to turn on the lights and open the register. Didn't ask me to come in (while I had a water sample in hand to test) and turned his back to go in without giving me a second look. I just left and went to another fish store.

We drove a long way to get there and it was worth it. Very clean, very knowledgeable! We love the beautiful fish we bought.

I know there are bigger stores with a greater selection than fish planet, but I couldn't be happier with Steve and all the staff at Fish Planet. The personalized service I receive at Fish Planet I don't think is available at a bigger store, at least none that I have ever been to. Steve really understands reefs and I have never received anything but sound recommendations and advice about how to maintain my live reef tank. I unhesitatingly recommend Fish Planet to new and experienced aquarists alike.

Steve is somewhat helpful but does tell you exactly th right information. I bought 3 tiger bars from him and I asked him if they would get along fine with my long skirt tetras and x-ray tetras and he said they would be fine. That same night I saw as one of the barbs injured one of my skirt tetras and I wasn't pleased. I will be returning the fish and not buying fish from there again, PetSmart was way more helpful and they actually informed me correctly and they have cheaper prices.

I've bought 9 fish from here and all nine did great, but I've talked to the shop owner about my other fish and tanks that I didn't buy from him and the shop owner was very helpful with all my questions and concerns. This is one of those wonderful little fish stores run by a family that just want people to enjoy fish and having them. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

I have been a regular customer at his shop, i am always looking forward to visiting and maybe making a purchase, he has a nice selection of Festivum, but i wish he would have a wider array of fish, like maybe adding some butterfly fish to his collection.

The have a wonderful Fresh and Salt selection of fish. I picked up some tetras from my 45G tank that I had never seen at any other store before. The are also very resonable for pricing on their live stock. The tanks are amazingly clean as well.

Visited Fish Planet for the first time today. It truly is a great store - with lots of varieties that you won't see in other stores. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT'S CLEAN. There wasn't a speck of algae in any of the tanks - and a number of the tanks had small fry in them - meaning the water was top-notch. Steve, the owner, really knows his stuff. I've been around LFS for 35 years now, and this was the nicest I've seen EVER.

fish planet is by far the best shop in the area. I have been to Skokie(don't bother) Chicago and others. Fish Planet is a true LFS and the prices, selection and quality can not be matched.
