Unfortunately this store is not up to par. Many fish they sell are sick. This is due to many factors, the most important being, they do not quarantine the fish before sale. Also, I dont think their water quality is great on the saltwater fish tanks, seems to be underfiltered, small skimmmer, and there are many dead fish in the tanks. This explains why they no longer warranty fish. The last couple of times I purchased saltwater from this store the salinity was off and there was brown chunky deposits, like dirt, in my bucket. Obviously I dont purchase saltwater or fish from there anymore and I wouldn't recommend it. The corals seem to be ok , but there are other places that have a better selection. On another note, the owner of this store has a horrible attitude and is not personable what-so-ever. Most of the employees aren't much better, Danny is the man, the rest aren't very knowledgable and have bad attitudes as well.
Enough of that. I've been to all the saltwater stores in and around the Tampa Bay area, if you wanna see a great place, check out the coral corral. This place is located off of hillsborough road behind Lowes in oldsmar. Ichthy things isn't a bad place either, however, the owner has a bad attitude there as well. Again, if you want to see an awesome, state of the art, high end saltwater shop you have to check out the coral corral. The owner and employees at this place are awesome, have great personalities, and are very knowledgable and helpful.
Oh yeah, I dont work for coral corral, I wasn't paid to write this, and I don't personally know the owner or employees. I just wanted to write a helpful review for people that are addicted to saltwater as I am.
