![]() I stopped by this store yesterday with a friend, and there has been quite a sad change in the quality of the store in the three years since I last shopped here regularly. The dry goods section was stocked with some good items, but the prices were quite high, stock was thin, and the shelving itself was filthy. The marine tanks were in terrible shape-a great number of glass anenomes, and the substrate was gravel that looked like it came from the Jersey shore. Several fish that need sand because they regularly rub themselves on the bottom had obvious scarring. The freshwater section was in better shape, but we still saw a large number of floaters in the tanks, so the attendants weren't keeping an eye on the state of health of their charges. It looks like a number of their mystery snails were dead too. Prices were out of line compared to the competition, and especially when you consider the health of the stock. As a positive, the plant selection as OK. Matt K. 09:37:54 12/30/2007 |
