 If I could have given it "0 fish", I would have. My husband and I went there today to purchase some fish tank supplies and I am not certain of the name of the man we dealt with (older gentleman with salt n pepper hair, stands a bit hunched forward)...well we were trying to find a new hood for a tank we own and to make a long story short, this man was incredibly RUDE! He spoke to both of us as though we were children. He was very condescending and we ended up walking out of the store and took our business elsewhere. I cannot get over how arrogant this man was towards us. To top it off, we found the same filter and supplies at Pet Supplies Plus and Pet Smart for a significant amount LESS.  Even less fish than before! Current fish set-up is about one fifth of what it was - and that had gotten smaller after the last move! What little livestock there was, was VERY sickly. One MIGHT expect that with a new store, but it is a shadow of it's former self. Every fish in EVERY tank has ich! Tanks are still on just two systems for filtration; one for salt, and ONE for fresh - despite different requirements for different fishes from different parts of the world. When are store owners going to learn to get away from these types of inefficient, unhealthy systems? Even the sales tanks shrunk from ten to five gallon size to accomodate the MUCH smaller floor space/selection. Tanks for sale and dry good section similarily reduced in size/ selection. Looks like they're starting all over - yet again. They should take the word "super" out of their name. For that matter, "exotic" doesn't describe them very well either. This store will obviously be a memory within a year. Too bad, going to miss it in a way. It WAS a good store once, a LONG time ago... |
 Selection is hit or miss at ANY time. Prices are usually good, sometimes very good, however health of fish is spotty at best - be careful! Nice selection of drygoods, but a little pricey on some items. Not a terrible store, but not a good one either. That's the problem with a lack of competition. This industry is dying because of it.  Nice selection, simple racks of tanks. One freshwater monster tank full of random monsters. Saltwater section hit or miss, a lot of unhealthy stock. Seems to be no quarantine, and it is an integrated system. Non fish...reptile section usually in poor shape. Nice shop but could be better. |
