They recently lowered their prices on like EVERYTHING. Pretty chill store, I used to shop at Connie's Tropical Fish in Castro Valley, back when they had 1/2 off salt water fish, but since they quit that, now its all about Atlantis. I tell all my friends to go here.

I went there expecting a horrid store. but it wasn't so bad. Slightly messy, but I guess they just moved or something. Friendly staff. Prices negotiable. Definately will do buisness there again.

Wow. It seems everyone else hates this store.

But before you slump this store into the total waste of time bin, Let me just put in my two cents.

I find it hard to believe when people say this store has "very little product." Well, dry goods, not so much, but I go there for the fish!!! They ALWAYS have a Gigantic selection of fish!

Even though the prices are a bit on the costly side. Every fish I have purchased from this store has been strong/healthy.

For example:
A few days ago with much hesitation, I bought my FIRST Copperband Butterfly. (yay me!) And within 20 mins of being in the tank, it began eating. It even excepted frozen brine to my surprise!

Once you start shopping there more often, they begin to knock the prices down just for you, three visits and they were knocking five bucks off of yellow tangs. Healthy ones. Not crappy ones. And who can beat a big healthy tang for $15.99?

The staff are always willing to put down a box and answer your questions. I cannot believe other people are giving Atlantis low of a score. If it was based on the old location, I MIGHT understand, although all that ghetto-talk is really misleading. I find it hard to believe that person has even been to Harlem if they are comparing the two. And as a New York Native I feel justified in making such a statement.

If you haven't checked out the new location in Union City. I urge you to do so. It is a VAST improvement on the smaller crappy space they had before.

I am sticking up for Altantis because they do fair buisness and since Salt water fish is not THAT lucrative of a buisness I feel that the truth need be told.

I give atlantis a 4 fish score for the following reasons: Hearty Fish, pleasant/knowledgable staff, large selection of fish/invertibrates/corals/anemones, AND price flexibility.

Don't disclude anyone elses score, (With the exception of that Harlem ghetto nonsense.) but just take my expirence with Atlantis into consideration. Thanks and Happy Fishing!

Near exit 880, store is easy to find. Parking is easy but seems no ones goes in to atlantis aquarium. I personally think this store is crap, I bought 3 tiny little crayfish for my salt water eels to enjoy and they costed $ 1.99 EACH. Then I wanted to get COMMON PLECO which is only 3-4 inches long and costed $14.99, thought it was $4.99 because the 1 was never written. The ower is asian/white and mid 30's, he over charges all freshwater and espically the saltwater fishes.

I HATE THIS STORE! WAY OVERPRICED for something you feed your fish, and over priced on freshwater fishes. I rather shop PETCO or PETSMART rather then this lousy store.

This store is just off 880 highway. VERY small store and parking is easy to find. Inside is EXTREMELY cramped and disorganized, I've seen the "Underconstruction" sign for more then a year to check up on the place and it's still the same as it iswhen the store opened. Prices for the feeders seem reasonable. Freshwater fish prices are moderate to overpriced. Saltwater fish are way overpriced. I wouldn't suggest any aquarium hobbyst to go into this store unless you really needed some feeders or you work there.

I went there and it is scary the windows are foggy and dingy, Poor Fish dont look happy at all, Instead of putting the fish outta their misery should put the owner outta his/her misery... SAD TRULY SAD...They should give they're inventory away for free....

Just off the 880 the store is located in a small mall. Parking is no problem. Very dark inside. Salt and fresh and overcrowded. The tanks are extremely small and they had them full. They have coral and frags and the display has variety. I felt like I was in the Harlem Ghetto and needed to keep checking on my car. Bad advice I listened to 2 different employees give horrible advice. They don't seem to understand the meaning of cycling a tank. The guy just got his saltwater tank 3 days ago and they sold him 4 expensive fish. Large fish at that. Damsels for cycling not Triggers and Starfish. Store has very little product. All around scary place to be.
