 I do not know why the store is named ocean view when it is a totally dim, dirty, and smelly inside. Almost every fish tank is infected with some nasty bateria or disease. The fishes seemed very weak and unhealthy. Not only that the owner is also very rude, the way he talks to customers is just unacceptable. | I doubt if anything has improved in the three months since I swore I would never set foot in this store again, but if I has I apologize in advance. In MY personal opinion this is among the worst stores in the bay area. Catering to a mostly goldfish and flowerhorn type of customer, this shop misses the mark on so many levels it is hard to imagine. From the multiple dead and diseased bettas struggling in their dixie cups of blue water to the tie-dyed fish of all varieties to the woefully inadequate variety and force mixes of species in the display tanks. Tanks are nasty dirty and dead fish and disease were present in almost every tank. This is one store that I can honestly say that I would NEVER buy a fish from at the risk of bringing some strange infection into my tanks at home. Last time in I witnessed a display tank which contained several emaciated albino oscars literally being mauled by a tank full of african cichlids. The sight left me sick inside. I hate the fact that I have such a low opinion of this store because the location is just a short distance from my work and if it were decent at all I would spend considerable time there for sure. I kept trying to talk to the owner about cleaning up his act but all attempts were met with general disdain until like I said I swore off every visiting there again. |
