The lady is rude until you buy something, even then when I did buy something, they didn't want to give me the price they labeled it for. When i asked one of their employees for the price of a fish, i was quoted $20 and i bought it. At the counter the lady yelled and said it was $40 and that employee knows nothing, "do you want it or not?" The prices their are high but they do carry a variety. Another bad experience was the lack of willingness to give me info on sturgeons (knowing they get huge), they tried to deny it, and went for the sale instead. I wouldn't recommend this place if your a beginner, keep your guard up on these guys, they lack dedication for the hobby.

The store on Broadway has a huge selection of fancy goldfish and is the only place I know that consistantly carries Pearlscales. They keep their tanks very clean. I've actually waited and kept my eye out for one Lionhead for four weeks before making my purchase. Maybe that says a lot for their turnover but then it also says their fish are well taken care of. Most LFS fish would not survive that long.

Way overpriced store. Fish are ok.. the lady at the counter is very rude and mean untill you actually buy something from her. Not the type of person I would ever like to deal with. Prices are 30% more than other places for both fish and supplies. I am talking about the one in mission street near the border of dalycity and SF.

I went here to purchase juvenile clown loaches for my 20 gal tank back in 2001. I still have them and it's March 2006. They, of course, are much larger and now enjoying a 55 gal home. I visited a couple of months ago and the freshwater fish selection remains varied and the health of the fish good. I recommend this LFS.

There are several Hung Ming Aquaria. I've only been to the one on 660 Broadway in Chinatown. The equipment is good, as are the health of most of the saltwater fish. They don't have many corals. The staff is ready to help, but you need to get them to get the boss so that you can get knowledgeable answers.
